THANK YOU ALL FOR GETTING INVOLVED
Wow! That was an insane 24 hours! During the Liveathon, we managed to raise a little over £4,000 to support CPSL MIND. It’s not over yet…
Our target was £10,000, so we still have some work to do.
The prizes that have been donated to the cause are absolutely insane. There is still a chance to get your hands on one of these amazing giveaways by donating via the Just Giving page. We will be leaving this open for another couple of weeks and will be announcing the winners live on Facebook. Stay tuned.
After an incredibly challenging 2020 and a rough start to 2021, Shifties want to raise awareness of the need for people to talk when they are feeling low and need support. Starting at 12am on the morning of 18th January, the so called most depressing day of the year – Blue Monday, our Founder Alex Hughes will talk for 24 hours non stop with small business owners, mental health experts and advisors and the local business community whilst completing challenges, sharing stories and advice on how to shift to a positive mindset in 2021.
The Speak Up Liveathon aims to be the antidote to negative thinking on what is expected to be a particularly difficult time this year with many people still struggling with the impact of an extraordinary and incredibly challenging 2020 and will focus on tales of resilience and survival – for both businesses and individuals – and explore why good communication and a supportive community is so important. At the same time we hope to raise £10,000 for the charity CPSL Mind, an organisation devoted to supporting people with mental health concerns, and their families across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire.
This event is open to anyone and we encourage you to join the fun by sharing any questions & experiences you have had, supporting others, donating and help us drive a message of community and positivity during this difficult time we are in! There will also be amazing prizes to be won donated by incredible local businesses within the Shifties Community for anyone that donates to the charity!
*Each person that donates will be entered in to a prize draw for a chance to win one of the many amazing gifts donated by local businesses.
